Bio

I am currently Associate Director of the Spanish Language Program in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Princeton University.

I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, and I lived in Bucaramanga for seven years. I finished a B.A. in Language Teaching and an M.A. in Semiological Studies at Universidad Industrial de Santander.

I received a dual PhD degree in Linguistics and Hispanic Linguistics from Indiana University. I have taught several Spanish and Linguistic courses and I am very interested in syntax, language variation, and information structure.
